The Footprint of the TMT on the UH Campus

The Thirty Meter Telescope has a 5 acre footprint and 8.5 acre construction footprint.  This is too large to go on our sacred mountain that is zoned conservation home to numerous endemic and native that are rare, threatened, and/or endangered as well as cultural and burial sites.  To help others understand how big this telescope is use your own campus camp to put it in perspective.
